Peter Caruana Galizia

Peter was called to the Bar in 1982 and has since practised extensively in the commercial and civil law fields. He is a founding member of BCGL Advocates.
Peter specialises in all aspects of property law, including conveyancing, lease, evictions, expropriation and succession and his years of experience define him as a reputable expert in all property law matters. He has acted as a consultant for the Government of Malta in the acquisition of immovable property both in Malta as well as overseas, and has assisted in the implementation of the necessary amendments to the law regulating the capacity of non-residents to acquire property in Malta following Malta’s accession to the European Union. He maintains an extensive practice in estate administration and represents several expatriates who have retained interests in Malta.
Peter is also company secretary to several local companies and looks after all their litigation and contract work. He is also an examiner and a visiting lecturer at the University of Malta in ‘Select Issues in the Law of Letting and Hiring’ and has more recently also been invited to give a presentation in agricultural law in Malta at the University of Seville.
